Jay Summach is Director of Education with the Edmonton Construction Association. From 2005 to 2015, Jay was a professor at Yale and Duke Universities, where he taught courses in music, film, and academic writing – but his greatest passion was helping doctoral students to plan and teach great courses. Since joining the ECA in 2015, Jay’s focus has been to bring Edmonton builders together with our industry’s best and most forward-thinking instructors. When it works really well, professional development doesn’t only make people more productive – it creates a culture of empowerment, motivation, and ownership that can transform industry. Together, that’s what we’re working towards.
